Gezondheidsmonitor 2022 EN

The corona crisis has affected everyone’s life for the past two and a half years. It is therefore important for the GGD to know what impact the coronapandemic has had on the health, lifestyle and well-being of residents in the region. We do this by means of a national questionnaire: the Health Monitor 2022. The Health Monitor will run from 16 September to 5 December 2022.
The results will be used for the development and implementation of local health policies.
See below for more information about the Health Monitor.

Information about the survey

General Information

The coronapandemic has had an impact on everyone. Therefore, GGD Zaanstreek-Waterland will conduct an extra Health monitor from September 16 till December 5, 2022. With this questionnaire, the GGD wants to assess the impact of the corona period on health, lifestyle and well-being of residents aged 18 and older. This questionnaire will cover various topics such as physical and mental health, participation, loneliness and finances, but also the influence of the corona crisis on well-being.
The Health Monitor 2022 is conducted by the GGD in cooperation with RIVM, CBS and the other GGDs. I&O Research collects the data on behalf of GGD Zaanstreek-Waterland.

Participation

CBS randomly selects residents whom the GGD invites to participate in the GGD Health Monitor 2022. The selected persons will receive an invitation to fill in Health Monitor questionnaire. Participation is voluntary and data will be handled and processed in strict confidentiality. Residents who are not selected can unfortunately not participate.

In order to reliably assess the health, well-being and lifestyle of residents aged 18 years and older, it is important that as many as possible of the invited residents participate. On average, it takes about 30 minutes to complete the questions and each participant has a chance to win a VVV voucher of €50.

Results

The results of the Health monitor 2022 are important for municipalities, the GGD and other organizations focused on the health and well-being of residents in Zaanstreek-Waterland. The results of the Health Monitor can be used to develop or adjust health policy and to improve the health and well-being of residents. For example, the results may show that it is necessary to provide more help to certain groups or to set up extra facilities in a municipality or residential neighbourhood.
Would you like to know the results of this study? We expect to publish the results of the Health Monitor 2022 on gezondheidincijfers.ggdzw.nl (in Dutch) in the autumn of 2023. On this website you can also find the results of previous Health Monitors.
